Easy Late Winter Outfit

 

 

 

Black and White stripes are always a good choice, for any season, really. You can picture a shirt like this with a bright red coat on a cold winter day, or with a pair of denim shorts and a black sun hat, on a beach far from home, in summer!.

 

I love this kind of outfits for the everyday, if you want to dress it up, add a nice red lipstick and a natural face of makeup and you are all glamed up! even if you are wearing jeans!.

Tulle Evening Gown

 

 

Hello!
So, you might find I'm obsessed with tulle, in all it's forms and shades. It never fails to give that dreamy feel.

And of course in evening gowns it can be very sophisticated if used the right way, that is. I made this emerald gown for a winter wedding, I used a simple stretch silk taffeta for the top and yards and yards of emerald fine tulle.

The result was a very early 60's, kind of deep "V" neckline and subtly gathered floor lenght skirt gown. Very suitable for a magical night. Can't go wrong with jewel toned dresses.

My Affair with Pastels!

 

 

Pastels always make a come back every spring. And these tender shades never fail to warm up our souls, and prepare us to enjoy warmer days.

 

This is a skirt I made, it's obviously tulle! haha it is so light and airy, perfect for a warm night out, or for whenever you want to feel extra dreamy.

Oh! Red Lips!

Lately, I've been in love with the red lips look. Winter is perfect to wear red lips, the color itself, lifts up any outfit.

For Spring I'm dreaming of a pinky intense red, something like "Relentlessly Red" by MAC. But for now I'm sticking with "Ruby Woo", a retro matte formula lipstick by MAC, I'm sure everybody knows this shade, it's such a "neutral" red, that I imagine would look  beautiful on every skin tone.

I'm in love with red lips, for any season of the year. Red lipstick is sure going to make these dreadful winter days better :)

I give you the perfect early spring outfit, no, it's not full of pastel colors, but it's chic, classic, and will never go out of style. It can give a laid back look with the black and White combo, but the red pumps and lips and the simple necklace give this look a touch of sophistication and glamour that you won't be able to resist.

To Feel Swell

Now, I know this blog is about fashion, but for me there would not be enough inspiration without good music. So yes, music can often make us feel so good, and so inspired.

Have you ever had the feeling when you listen to a song, that you are in total peace?, even if your mind is full with preoccupations, you listen to this tune and your heart and mind instantly feel at ease.
This happens to me often when listening to Glenn Miller, great big band music, does the trick for me. Sometimes I feel that this music brings memories to me from past times, long ago.

My favourite song by Glenn Miller, is called "Blue Evening", his music, I feel, is about the longing of love. either because you don't have love, maybe because you lost it, or because you can't wait to be with it one more time. But there's a certain hope for it, even in the saddest songs.

It's always about love.
